Who I am

I am a child and adolescent psychotherapist with a specialisation in play therapy, what this means is, I work at the developmental level appropriate to each client. Talk therapy can be challenging for children and adolescents, so creative and playful methods can be used to support them in feeling comfortable and safe.

I graduated from my undergraduate degree with a first class honors in Applied Psychotherapy, completed a Masters in Clinical and Developmental Neuropsychology, a post-graduate diploma in Play Therapy and a Masters in Creative Psychotherapy.

My experience includes work in a school for children with Autism, a neurological rehabilitation service, disability services and most recently in post-adoption services and mainstream schools. This experience has taught me to be flexible and adaptive to work in an individualised way with each client. It has helped me to look beyond the words and understand clients’s true experiences.

I work towards understanding everyone’s story and supporting the family as a whole. If this sounds right for your family, please do not hesitate to fill in the contact me form.

In Play, toys are like the child’s words, and play is the child’s language.
